On March 8th, 2024, at the headquarters of Illva Saronno Holding and in the presence of Mr. Zhou, President of the Chinese company ChangYu, its CEO Mr. Sun, the Reina family, and the employees of Illva Saronno Holding, an olive tree was planted as a symbol of strength and fertility to honor Augusto Reina, in recognition of his innovative spirit by our Chinese partners.

Today, that olive tree has become the new logo of the I.S.P. project, symbolizing the complete journey of a company that looks to the future every day, while drawing strength and solidity from its tradition and roots. This iconic and powerful decision fully describes the values and spirit of the ILLVA Group’s I.S.P. project, a path of continuous evolution and expansion.
The choice of the olive tree is significant because olives grow progressively and steadily, have a very long life, and can withstand even difficult conditions. These characteristics aptly represent ILLVA Group’s commitment to sustainability — a commitment that must be continuous and resolute to meet set goals and face challenges head-on.

This journey is already yielding tangible results: after Illva Saronno Holding was awarded the Bronze Medal in 2023, Disaronno Ingredients also achieved the Bronze Medal for Corporate Sustainability in the first half of 2024, assessed by Ecovadis.

Ecovadis is an internationally recognized Sustainability Rating platform that allows companies to monitor their performance across four sustainability categories (Environment, Labor Practices & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement), aiming to enhance the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions of companies on a large scale. With a total score of 59/100, Disaronno Ingredients placed within the top 35% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis that achieved the highest scores in the past 12 months.
